In our BFF – Best Friends Forever section, we share stories of genuine and deep friendships. This time, the spotlight is on Chiara, 6 years old, and Bianca, 5 years old, two little girls bound by a special relationship that mirrors the friendship between their mothers. Meeting in high school at just 15 years old, their mothers formed an unbreakable bond that, over the years, has been passed down to their daughters. Through a series of photos capturing them playing and spending time together, we delve into their world filled with imagination, fun, and sweetness. Making this moment even more special are the stunning outfits by Divini, an Italian brand that embodies elegance and craftsmanship in every detail.
Friendship Captured in a Snapshot
Chiara and Bianca are inseparable friends, and CoccoleBimbi wanted to capture the essence of a growing friendship through a series of photos. Whether it's a moment of shared laughter or little games, the bond between Chiara and Bianca is evident in every picture. Their contagious smiles remind us how precious these connections are during childhood. We chose to tell their story through spontaneous images, capable of transmitting all the joy and naturalness of these moments.
Their bond reflects that of their mothers, who have been friends since high school: over the years, they have built a connection so strong that it has been passed on to their daughters.
An essential element of this photoshoot is the Divini tailoring, whose outfits make these moments even more precious thanks to the craftsmanship quality of a made-in-Italy brand attentive to details that transforms every look into pure elegance.
Divini: Tailored Elegance Made in Italy
Divini is a brand that embodies the values of Italian craftsmanship, dedicated to creating high-quality children's clothing. Its philosophy is based on a deep respect for tailoring traditions, combined with a modern and refined vision. Divini is synonymous with timeless elegance; each piece is the result of a meticulous tailoring process, where handmade embroidery by expert embroiderers plays a key role. These details make the looks of Chiara and Bianca unique, as they wear precious yet practical outfits for their everyday adventures.
The FW24 collection was created with the collaboration of designer Diva and the support of Cesare Morisco. Every detail has been conceived and developed exclusively for CoccoleBimbi, making this collection truly custom made. This is a special moment for the brand: for the first time, Divini is moving beyond the made to order model and entering the world of physical stores, and we are proud to be the first store to host it.

The Interview with Diva, Designer of Divini:
Where does the name of the brand Divini come from?
Diva: The initial idea was something different; I had "Bread and butter" in mind, a sweet memory I cherish in my heart because that was the snack my great-grandmother gave to her 7 great-grandchildren. I have a very large family... we used to line up to get our snack, and sometimes she added sugar. She was a very sweet and equally strong woman, and she lives in my thoughts every day. So, I wanted to honor her. The day before, however, my husband suggested DIVINI to define "Divine Children," a nod to my name Diva, and I liked it right away. I also thought it was more suitable for a brand, so we registered it.
How would you describe the DNA of the Divini brand, and what sets it apart in the children's fashion world?
Diva: Divini embodies a timeless style, iconic of children from the past when they dressed simply and comfortably. The materials we use are of the highest quality, and we don’t compromise: silk, wool, cotton, and linen all in purity and mainly made in Italy. We prefer yarn-dyed fabrics to ensure durability over time and through washes. Each garment is made one at a time with great care. The goal is for them to be passed down through the years.
Divini made its debut in stores with CoccoleBimbi, transitioning from a "made-to-order" approach. What has this step meant for the brand, and how do you think this collaboration will evolve in the future?
Diva: It's definitely a big change for Divini, which has always had a direct-to-consumer approach without intermediaries. It's a necessary and important step for Divini to be known and appreciated by a wider audience. The CoccoleBimbi clientele is refined and has a taste for beautiful, well-made things... we noticed this right away. We also share important values, such as sustainability and a high focus on product quality and customer service. We are certain that it will be a long and fulfilling journey.
Diva, can you tell us what inspired the FW24 collection? What values did you want to convey through these garments?
Diva: It's iconic. This collection represents what our beloved customers have most loved and appreciated over the years. The smock dress, in its timeless beauty and magic, preserves an inestimable value of Italian craftsmanship, from the dress with a sash in Italian silesia adorned with an explosion of flowers made with different embroidery stitches, to the bermuda shorts, and the George-style shirt, embodying that refined simplicity that makes every child happy when they wear it.
Divini is known for its tailored and custom-made approach. How important is it for you to maintain this connection with craftsmanship and personalization in children's fashion?
Diva: Craftsmanship is everything, it's a fundamental and essential principle, and the very reason why Divini was born. We are proud to believe that "made in Italy" truly represents excellence worldwide, and it's our duty to ensure that this tradition continues. Personalizing a garment, on the other hand, is a declaration of love... it’s like saying, "This little shirt is yours, your mom commissioned it especially for you, according to her taste, thinking you might like it, and it will be yours forever."
Divini's garments are characterized by details like hand-made embroidery. How much time and dedication does this process require, and why is it so important for you to maintain this artisanal quality?
Diva: We are very proud that hand embroidery is still so appreciated by families. Often, it involves long hours of work, with up to 8 hours required just for a single collar when multiple thread changes are involved. Not to mention the smock stitch, which takes 3 to 4 hours just for gathering, followed by embroidery that can take up to 15 hours. It’s truly a work of art. It’s both stimulating and fun to fulfill embroidery requests (sometimes quite quirky) from our customers on Divini garments. For us, it’s a mission to continue creating precious embroideries on our clothes so that this tradition continues, and today’s children can have something unique and special in their wardrobe to show their own children in the future.
What kind of relationship have you developed with CoccoleBimbi, and what does it mean to you as a designer to work with a partner so focused on quality?
Diva: Being part of the brand selection at CoccoleBimbi is a significant recognition for me. I’m happy that even a niche brand like Divini can have a place among world-renowned brands. Quality is fundamental for us; all our fabrics are GOTS certified, and every component, from thread to mother-of-pearl buttons, is carefully selected for its environmental impact.
In children's fashion, how do you maintain the perfect balance between aesthetics, comfort, and craftsmanship, especially with a tailored brand like Divini?
Diva: First of all, comfort—children must be free and comfortable to move and play, from the youngest to the oldest. Divini’s aesthetics are characterized by simple, essential lines with a bit of a retro flavor. The philosophy that comes naturally to me when designing a new collection is “less is more.” I never embellish with flashy applications or tulle underskirts (unless they’re removable). This is where the added value of tailoring comes into play: Do we want to add suspenders to pants? We make sure they can be unbuttoned inside, so the garment becomes more versatile with a dual use.
